These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ShotRank.

By creating or using a ShotRank account, you agree to these Terms of Use, the ShotRank Privacy Policy and the ShotRank Community Guidelines.
If you do not agree, do not use ShotRank.
1. What ShotRank is
ShotRank is a social photo competition platform where users can upload photographs, vote on photographs, participate in rankings and leaderboards, view profiles, search for users, and use related social and sharing features.
ShotRank ranks photographs and competition entries, not the attractiveness, worth, popularity or personal value of the people depicted in them.
ShotRank must not be used as a “hot-or-not” service or to objectify, humiliate or rank people based on their appearance.
Unless a specific promotion expressly states otherwise, rankings, votes, scores and leaderboard positions do not have monetary value and do not entitle users to prizes or compensation.
2. Minimum age and age-related protections
ShotRank is intended for users aged 13 and older.
During account setup, ShotRank may ask you to provide your date of birth so that eligibility and an applicable age band can be determined.
The date of birth entered during the ShotRank age gate is used to determine eligibility and age band and is not retained as your stored date of birth.
You must provide accurate age information and must not attempt to bypass or falsify ShotRank’s age requirements.
If the information you provide shows that you are under 13, you cannot use ShotRank and account/data deletion will be initiated.
Users aged 13–17 may use ShotRank only after completing the safety and parent-or-guardian steps required by the service.
For a 13–17 account, ShotRank may require:
● acknowledgement of a teen online-safety notice;
● a parent or guardian to complete an adult-action step;
● creation of a guardian PIN used to manage teen social access; and
● continued guardian authorization for social features to remain enabled.
The parent-or-guardian step is a ShotRank safety control. It does not represent government identity verification, and it should not be interpreted as a legal representation that every form of parental consent required under every jurisdiction has been independently verified by ShotRank.
A guardian may disable the teen account’s social features. When social features are disabled, normal social functionality such as publishing, voting, user discovery, leaderboards, public-profile access or public-profile changes may be restricted.
You must not attempt to bypass teen-safety or guardian controls.
If applicable law requires a higher minimum age or additional authorization before you can use a service such as ShotRank, you must satisfy that requirement.
3. Your account and sign-in methods
You are responsible for activity occurring through your account and for keeping access to your account secure.
ShotRank may support authentication through Apple, Google or other supported account methods.
Where supported, you may be able to link more than one sign-in method to the same ShotRank account.
Linked sign-in methods do not create a right to merge two separate ShotRank accounts. If a provider identity is already connected to another ShotRank account, ShotRank may refuse the attempted link.
ShotRank identifies account ownership using internal account and provider identifiers rather than relying solely on matching email addresses.
You must not:
● create an account using false information for the purpose of evading restrictions;
● impersonate another person or organization;
● sell, transfer or share an account in a misleading or abusive manner;
● use another person’s account without permission;
● evade a suspension, restriction or ban by creating additional accounts;
● interfere with ShotRank’s authentication, age, guardian, moderation or safety systems.
You are also subject to the applicable terms of the authentication provider you choose to use.
4. User content
You retain ownership of copyrights and other rights you hold in photographs and other content you upload to ShotRank.
You must have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and publish your content.
By submitting content to ShotRank, you grant Valuuttavelhot Oy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize, process, display, distribute and technically adapt that content as reasonably necessary to:
● operate ShotRank;
● display the content to other ShotRank users;
● operate competitions, voting and leaderboards;
● moderate and review the content;
● create technical versions required by the service;
● maintain backups and service integrity;
● provide sharing features you choose to use; and
● comply with legal obligations.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to Valuuttavelhot Oy.
The licence ends when the relevant content and account data are deleted, except to the extent that limited copies or records may remain temporarily or lawfully in backups, security records, moderation records, legal records or other systems where continued retention is permitted or required.
5. Public content
ShotRank is a social service.
When you publish a photograph or public profile information, that information is intended to be visible to other users.
Published information may include, depending on the feature:
● username or display name;
● profile information;
● profile image;
● photographs;
● competition entries;
● rankings;
● scores or leaderboard positions;
● generalized location or competition scope;
● other information that ShotRank clearly identifies as public.
Other users may use ShotRank’s sharing features, screenshots or other device functions to share or retain representations of publicly available content outside the app.
Do not publish information that you do not want other people to see.
Users aged 13–17 should pay particular attention to information visible in photographs and profiles and should not publish private contact details, home or school information, passwords or other sensitive personal information.
6. Community rules
You must follow the ShotRank Community Guidelines.
Among other things, ShotRank prohibits content or conduct involving:
● child sexual abuse or exploitation;
● sexualization of minors;
● non-consensual intimate imagery;
● sexual exploitation;
● serious harassment or bullying;
● threats or encouragement of violence;
● hateful conduct;
● encouragement of self-harm;
● illegal activity;
● privacy violations or doxxing;
● copyright or intellectual-property infringement;
● impersonation, scams or fraud;
● spam;
● manipulation of voting or rankings;
● attempts to circumvent age, guardian, moderation or enforcement systems.

7. Child and teen safety
ShotRank has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation.
You must never use ShotRank to create, upload, request, distribute, promote, facilitate or normalize child sexual abuse material or the sexual exploitation of anyone under 18.
Prohibited conduct includes grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, sexual extortion, trafficking, sexualized communications directed at minors and attempts to obtain sexual images from minors.
ShotRank provides additional safety controls for accounts in the 13–17 age band, including an online-safety reminder and a guardian-controlled social-access mechanism.
These controls do not eliminate online risk. Users should avoid sharing sensitive personal information and should use blocking and reporting tools when necessary.
ShotRank may remove content, restrict accounts, preserve relevant evidence and report suspected criminal or child-safety matters to competent authorities or appropriate child-safety organizations where required or permitted by law.
8. Content moderation
ShotRank uses moderation measures to protect users and the service.
Uploaded photographs may be placed into a private processing or quarantine state before they become publicly visible.
Moderation may include:
● automated image analysis;
● safety classification;
● user reports;
● human moderation;
● account history;
● technical and anti-abuse signals.
ShotRank currently uses third-party technology, including OpenAI services, to assist with automated image-safety assessment.
Automated systems can make mistakes.
Depending on the result, content may be:
● published;
● rejected;
● restricted;
● held for human review; or
● removed after publication.
Technical moderation failures may result in content remaining unpublished until a safe decision can be made.
Where appropriate or legally required, a human moderator may review content or enforcement decisions.
9. Reports and blocking
Users can report content or accounts that they believe violate the Community Guidelines or applicable law.
Users can also block other users using ShotRank’s available blocking features.
Reports do not guarantee that content or an account will be removed.
ShotRank evaluates reports based on the available information, applicable rules, safety considerations and law.
False, malicious or abusive reporting may itself lead to enforcement.
10. Enforcement
If ShotRank reasonably believes that you have violated these Terms, the Community Guidelines, applicable law, guardian restrictions or another person’s rights, we may take proportionate action including:
● warning you;
● limiting particular features;
● preventing content from being published;
● reducing or removing visibility;
● removing content;
● restricting posting or voting;
● suspending an account;
● terminating an account.
Urgent action may be taken without advance notice where reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent abuse, preserve evidence, comply with law or respond to serious safety risks.
Where legally required and where we have suitable contact details, ShotRank will provide information explaining significant content or account restrictions and available options for review.
11. Appeals
If you believe ShotRank made an incorrect moderation or enforcement decision, you may request review by contacting:

Include enough information to identify the relevant account, photograph, report or decision.
Do not send illegal sexual images or suspected child sexual abuse material by email.
Human review may be used where appropriate.

12. Voting and rankings
ShotRank rankings are generated from user activity and the service’s competition rules.
You must not attempt to manipulate results through:
● automated voting;
● multiple accounts;
● coordinated fake activity;
● scripts, bots or exploits;
● buying votes;
● exchanging votes in an abusive manner;
● interfering with ShotRank’s ranking systems.
ShotRank may invalidate activity or adjust results where reasonably necessary to maintain the integrity of the service.
Rankings may also change because of moderation, removed accounts, technical corrections or changes in eligible competition data.
13. Advertising
Free users may see advertising in ShotRank.
Users whose age is unknown or unconfirmed are not treated as adults for advertising purposes and do not receive normal advertising requests.
Users known to ShotRank to be under 13 do not receive advertising because they are not permitted to use the service.
For the current ShotRank age model, users aged 13–17 are handled conservatively for advertising. ShotRank configures supported Google advertising requests for child-directed treatment, requests non-personalized advertising, and applies a maximum ad-content rating of G.
ShotRank does not use a 13–17 user’s full date of birth for advertising.
For 13–17 users, personalized advertising and remarketing are disabled through ShotRank’s configured ad treatment. Advertising providers may still process limited information necessary for permitted contextual delivery, fraud prevention, security, frequency control and measurement in accordance with their own rules and applicable law.
Adult users may receive advertising subject to applicable privacy choices, consent requirements, regional law and platform restrictions.
Advertising services may provide privacy controls as required by applicable law.
Premium users may have advertising placements removed while still retaining access to privacy controls where required.
14. Premium features and purchases
ShotRank may offer optional paid or Premium features.
Purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by the relevant store.
Valuuttavelhot Oy does not receive your complete payment-card details from the app stores.
Prices, billing periods, renewal terms and other purchase information are displayed before purchase where applicable.
Refunds and billing disputes are subject to applicable consumer law and the rules of the store through which the purchase was made.
Deleting a ShotRank account does not necessarily cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Store subscriptions must be managed through the relevant store account.
15. Location features
ShotRank may use approximate device location where you grant permission to support local competition, ranking or discovery features.
ShotRank does not require continuous background location tracking for normal operation.
Premium or other supported features may allow you to manually select a location or map position.
A location you manually choose may be more specific than automatically collected approximate device location information.
Do not select a location that exposes sensitive personal information if you do not want that location associated with your activity.
16. Notifications
ShotRank may offer push notifications.
Notification permission is optional and can be changed through your device settings.
Availability and delivery of push notifications depend partly on Apple, Google and other platform infrastructure.
Age, account eligibility and guardian restrictions may affect whether particular notifications or notification registrations are available.
17. Intellectual property
ShotRank software, design, branding, logos, interfaces, databases and other materials created by Valuuttavelhot Oy are protected by intellectual-property law.
These Terms do not give you ownership of ShotRank or the VV Black Box brand.
You may not copy, redistribute, sell, reverse engineer or exploit ShotRank except where permitted by applicable law.
18. Third-party services
ShotRank relies on services provided by third parties, including infrastructure, authentication, app-store, notification, advertising, moderation, map and sharing providers.
Those providers may have separate terms and privacy policies.
ShotRank is not responsible for independent services operated by third parties, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
19. Availability and changes
We aim to keep ShotRank available and reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.
We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for:
● safety;
● security;
● legal compliance;
● technical maintenance;
● product development;
● abuse prevention;
● third-party service changes.
We may also change competition mechanics, ranking systems, age-related protections or safety controls.
20. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your ShotRank account using the in-app account deletion feature.
Further information is available on the ShotRank Account & Data Deletion page.
Account deletion is irreversible once completed.
Some information may be retained or anonymized where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, safety, legal obligations, dispute resolution, accounting, security or technical backup purposes.
21. Disclaimer
ShotRank is provided on an “as available” basis.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee:
● uninterrupted availability;
● that every photograph will be published;
● a particular ranking or voting outcome;
● particular advertising availability;
● error-free operation;
● continued availability of every feature.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
22. Liability
Valuuttavelhot Oy is responsible for its obligations to the extent required by applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valuuttavelhot Oy is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from:
● misuse of ShotRank;
● actions of other users;
● third-party services;
● loss of ranking position;
● content removed in accordance with these Terms;
● service interruptions outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including mandatory consumer rights.
23. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when ShotRank changes or when legal, regulatory or safety requirements change.
The current version and update date will be published publicly.
For material changes, ShotRank may require users to review and accept a new version before continuing to use the service.
24. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Finnish law.
If you are a consumer, this does not remove mandatory rights or protections granted to you by the laws of your country of residence.
Any dispute may be brought before a competent court as provided by applicable law.
